Hi, my name is Carolyn, and I am the founder and lead course developer at AKXS. Yep, that's me right there! I take great pride in spearheading projects that merge creativity with technology to create impactful content.
For over two decades, my passion for working with individuals from company boardrooms to higher education classrooms has afforded me a diverse experience as a dynamic instructional designer, trainer, and educator. With a deep commitment to enhancing training and learning experiences, I have dedicated my career to developing innovative instructional strategies, leading training workshops, and fostering student success.
During my tenure at a local educational technology company, I was crucial in delivering on-site and web-based training, ensuring clients across various industries could effectively utilize the company's products. My ability to prioritize and resolve training issues made me a key player in client satisfaction and product proficiency.
I contributed significantly as an Instructor and Career Management Director at a local career college. I directed career placement services, developed alumni relations, and taught courses that prepared students for professional success. I was known for my commitment to building positive relationships with students and employers alike, which underscored my dedication to educational excellence.
Today, I continue my passion for training and course development by collaborating with professors and subject-matter experts in the correctional education program at an Ohio-based university.

Hi, I am David, lead photographer and content creator specialist at AKXS. I love creating content you can brag about.
With over twenty years of experience in journalism and media design, I have provided remarkable deliverables for various organizations.
My interest in media and journalism began in high school when I was a reporter and photographer for the student newspaper, The Viking Views. I continued my love of journalism at The Ohio State University, where I became the inaugural Internet Editor at The Lantern, the official student newspaper. After graduating with a Bachelor’s and then a Master of Education in Technology Education, I became a local beat writer, page layout editor, and sports writer/photographer for several newspapers in the Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia region. As a reporter, I won an Ohio Associated Press (AP) award for my technology blog.
I complemented my media work in academics, where I helped provide remarkable learning experiences for various organizations and educational institutions. As the Director of Academics of an educational consulting agency, I’ve crisscrossed the United States, helping administrators, teachers, and accreditors provide exceptional teaching and learning experiences. From developing the inaugural legalized sports betting curriculum at an Ohio-based university to working with an NBA-player-turned-entrepreneur to providing professional development programs for thousands of educators, I’ve always enjoyed playing a part in teacher and, ultimately, student success.
Today, I continue my passion for academics, photography, and multimedia at an Ohio-based university, collaborating with professors on various multimedia projects. When I’m not on campus, I enjoy capturing live competitive cheer events and providing media day services for athletes and their teams.
